Our Mission

The Mission of the Friends of the Kansas City Symphony is to promote an interest in music, especially classical music, and the welfare of the Kansas City Symphony through volunteerism, educational projects, social activities, and fundraising.

Fall 2008 Calendar of Events

• August 31:  Pops in the Park - Members bring picnic suppers to Shawnee Mission Park and enjoy the Kansas City debut of Steven Jarvi, our new Assistant Director.

• September 4:  Business Meeting at Grand Street Cafe, 6:00

• September 12:  FOS Shop at Pops concert, Church of the Resurrection

• September 26-27:  FOS Shop at Classical Concert, Lyric Theatre

• October 3-4:  FOS Shop at Classical Concert, Lyric Theatre

• October 17-19:  FOS Shop at Classical Concert, Lyric Theater

• October 19:  After-Concert Party at Diastole House, 4:00-7:00 PM

Social Events

Each season the Friends of the Symphony host several After-Concert Parties. You will have the exclusive opportunity to meet:
